Six of Wands
General
The general meaning of the Six of Wands is success and recognition. Whatever that you set your mind to, you would see success. This is a great card to receive if you are asking about whether you would achieve your goals or find success and recognition in the workplace. In traditional tarot, the Six of Wands shows a man sitting on a horse, crowned with a wreath, basking in the cheers of the crowd. This is often a symbol of success, and notice how the man is happily basking in the limelight, he does not shy away from it.
Upright
As the card means success, it means that you would be successful in the area of life which you are looking at – or you could be successful in life in general for a period of time. In love, this could mean that you would be successful in getting into a relationship (if this is your goal), or you would achieve a shared goal together with your person. This does not usually apply to romance unless you have a certain romantic goal in mind. In career and finances, you would be receiving recognition in the work place, something would be completed successfully and you would be rewarded. This could also mean an achievement of your financial goals or gaining financial rewards.
Reversed
When the Six of Wands is reversed, this could mean that you are not living up to your potential, or you may be met with blockages or delays. In love, this could mean that you are seen as a conquest or you see others as conquests, and this is not a long term relationship friendly attitude. In career and finances, you could be met with delays or fail to meet organisational or personal career goals. In finances and career, this could mean that there has been a failed investment, or a bad purchase, that has led to financial losses. Sometimes, this could mean that you are too proud, and you are now falling from grace.
