Judgement
General
Judgement is all about results and that you would be getting an outcome in a situation. This is about answers being given to you, and this can be life-changing. To me, the Judgement card symbolises a rebirth (much like the Death card) but this is a smoother transition from one phase to the next. In traditional tarot, the Judgement shows a woman, man and a child rising from the grace and responding to Gabriel’s trumpet call. Their outstretched arms show that they are ready to be judged by the Universe.
Upright
When you receive the Judgement card, it could mean that there is a life-changing opportunity or destiny is calling you. You would have to make a choice on what you want to do with this opportunity. In love, you are going through a renewal of love. You could have exes coming back into your life to make amends and to renew your relationship, or you could be making adjustments in your relationship after a period of reflecting. In career and finances, the Judgement is about finding purpose and about reflecting on your values and whether this aligns with the work that you do. It is about a change in the wind when it comes to finances and career, or could mean that you are getting your lucky break.
Reversed
When the Judgement card turns up reversed, you are being asked to take a step back and reconsider what you are striving for. Your goals may not be what is best for you, and the Universe may not be with you on this. In love, the Judgement card could mean that you may be blaming your partner for the failings of the relationship and not taking responsibility. It could be that you are in denial about your love life, or that there are some things that you are refusing to admit about love, or your behaviour in love. In career and finances, you could be facing self-doubt and perhaps this is causing a lot of disruptions. You may have failed to learn the lessons you were supposed to learn and are repeating the sae mistakes.
Astrological Associations
The Judgement card is associated with Mars, which is the planet of energy, action, and desire. It is no surprise that the Judgement card is associated with Mars because the Judgement card is about bringing something back to life. Mars is the push that gets us out of bed in the morning, our drive and desire nature, and our active energy. Judgement is also ruled by Pluto, the ruler of the Underworld, and this is very much a reminder that everything comes to an end and that there would always be a new beginning coming forward. Life occurs in cycles, and this is very much the message of the Judgement card.
